I'll get one (maybe) when they get down to $279 after Christmas

Sandflea

Is it worth the coin $$ or should I stick with the plan to get a 376? I'm in the market for a new nav aid, too many choices. Was thinking of grabing a refurbished streetpilot 2600 or 2700 series off of ebay for around $200 +/- 50 bucks.
I would get the Zumo. well wirth the money. It comes with a bike mount and car mount.
Just another option: If you're strapped or just can't bring yourself to spend that cash AND you have a verizon plan, VZ Navigator is a $10 per month plan that works through your cell phone. I used it from NJ to MS this year and was amazed. I used the cell phone cord to link into my J&M and just used the audio directions (Screen usability dependent on your model cell phone...mine is OK, but I just didn't need it).

I put the cell inside my tank bag, flipped open and got great directions the whole way. Since it uses cell towers instead of satellites to triangulate your position it is limited by cell phone signal. In the back country of Mississippi there were sometimes where it would suddenly say "Reegalcuelading Root" and start giving directions again.

If you're a cheap SOB like me you can start the plan and stop it and just pay for a month then shut it off. I reactivate on long trips.

Allzat being said, the Zumo is the cats ass and I must have one...someday.

I Don't know Bill but my cats ass ain't all that, maybe some other part of a cat would be better???
Hey Rob G welcome man! you will love this group of folks... there are some real die hard get on the bike and ride like hell folks here... Plus Tammy was pretty well known in the KLR world and i know you are a fan...come to think of it there are a few here who have that bike as a back up too...

IMO ( Money aside) the best thing is the newest thing! plus the Zumo gives you phone and music intergration all in one awesome package... easy to use and good on the eyes when mounted properly... i would not risk it mounted on the two stroke but on a long haul to WV it would fit right in on the KLR as well... or cars...

then all you need is a GMRS radio or CB set up and pump that all in a decent headset with PTT capabilities and you are good to go... you could even get the passenger set up when touring on the new strom with the wifey and you will elevate her ride experience to another level... keeping her happy means more riding and more lovin' thus keeping Rob happy!

Life will be all good... plus don't you have a 60CSX?

hold out and get the zumo, just skip the weather channel...

you gotta see some of the commo GPS set ups we have done really first rate mods!

don't forget to do your member intro...
