Well, I have to admit, the heat got to me today. Heat normally doesn't bother me which is why I have no problem hanging out in places like Haiti and Cuba. The first 120 miles were OK, I just made sure I kept myself hydrated. But the last 30 miles or so I was on 287N coming up from New Brunswick. Between the heat at 102F, the heat coming off the pavement and the heat off all the vehicles, it was like I had a hair dryer blowing in my face. The only time it felt that hot to me was when it hit 140F in my kitchen at my last restaurant....and I almost passed out. By the time I got home, I felt woozy and nauseous. It took me a few hours to recover. I feel better but still a little woozy.
All in all, a good lesson learned. Next time, get in the car and turn on the A/C in extreme heat.
103f up by me. I was doing ok on my Strom. Best way to keep safe in this kind of weather is to gear up and drink water as you ride. You need to cover up good and drink and your fine...
105° down here in the Southland, yesterday. After working all day in the heat, then gearing up for the ride home, the A/C in the truck is looking better and better.
Wayne WTF I know your not going to punk out cuz of the weather get on the thing and ride god dam it....
